Water For People launched our innovative monitoring tool,
Field Level Operations Watch (FLOW), at
PopTech almost a year ago. Since then, we have seen FLOW not only contribute significantly to our understanding of the impact of our water and sanitation programs within Water For People, but also begin to be utilized by a few organizations to great effect.
FLOW has been applied nationwide in Liberia and is currently being rolled out in Ghana. FLOW is being used by a number of small non-profits in the water and sanitation sector, most notably
A Child's Right. Even more, the demand for FLOW amongst other organizations is considerable!
However, it is beyond Water For People’s capacity to support all of these organizations and governments to use for their own programs as well.
As such, we launched a Request For Information (RFI) process to see if we can align with another organization and bring FLOW to its full potential.
Our RFI window has now closed. As hoped, we received a number of proposals from organizations that seek to partner with Water For People and help innovate, scale and distribute FLOW to the next level. We appreciate the time, consideration and effort the organizations made in preparing their RFIs.
Water For People has identified strong prospects among this group of FLOW partner finalists and will continue our due diligence efforts. We expect to announce our new FLOW partnership by or before our originally planned announcement timeframe of December 2011.
Our thanks to all of you in the Water For People community-at-large who have helped and supported us in this important search. Please continue to share your ideas and suggestions with us. We welcome your feedback!
